Four award winners will be selected and honored on Tuesday, October 24 th at reSET’s 2014 Social Enterprise Awards at the Society Room in Hartford, CT at 5:30pm. The celebration features entrepreneurs who offer the most viable, sustainable, market-based solutions for some of the state’s most pressing social problems. The top prize will be awarded $15,000, but there will be an overall prize pool that exceeds $30,000.

Contest aside, it’ll be a fantastic event. Tegu Corp. Co-Founder Will Haughey will be on hand to be recognized with reSET’s Social Innovation Award and also deliver the keynote speech. If you haven’t heard Haughey speak before; trust us when we tell you he’s can’t-miss.

Also in one final piece of business – feel free to show support for CivicLift if you’re so inclined! Just stop by the reSET website starting today and view the videos of each of the finalists and vote for the one you like best! The video with the most votes will win this year’s People’s Choice Award.

I started CivicLift because the communities I love – and the reasons why I love them – were impossible to discover online. Since my background is in web design and digital marketing, it bothered me to think about the missed visibility for the local businesses and events. After launching a few prototypes and witnessing the impact, CivicLift stole my heart and my team and I grew the idea into full scale software.
